A few members of our youth group Generation For Christ, traveled to San Andres. We were overwhelmed by the poverty we saw. It was heartbreaking to hear some of the people stories and to see the conditions in which some of the people lived in.
The youth in the Cayman Islands have so much to be thankful for and I would recommend that those who have an opportunity to go on a mission trip to do so. It would make the less fortunate people in Cayman feel like they have a lot.
We take our blessings of having food, clothes and a home to live in for granted here in the Cayman Islands. There are children living in cardboard boxes and some have no clothes or shoes yet our youth complain because when they can't have $100.00 pair of shoes.
Everyone who lives in the Cayman Islands need to be thankful and give God thanks everyday for the blessings they have.
It was a blessing to get to share the love of the Lord with the people in Providence and San Andres. |
